Thank you for being here!

My name is Osa Isacson. I'm a PhD student at Chalmers University in Sweden where I research technologies that support small-scale communities.

The questions below aim to first get a broad idea of your context and second what is working and not working for you in terms of any digital tools you're using.

The results will be used to evaluate what role and purpose new technologies might have in supporting self-governed communities. They will be compiled in a research paper that will be shared with you on the email you give below.

Lets get into it.

Notes:

  • For most dropdowns you can add your own options. Just start typing in the searchfield > ...'create' comes up.
  • Do share the link to this form with others if you know anyone who might be interested.

Context

What kind of community would you identify yourselves as? If nothing fits, you can add a new option.

About how many people are part of your community? A general number.

Why did you all get together?

Do you have any specific goals or way of life you are trying to achieve together?

Just in general anything that provides frustration or obstacles in your day-to-day life as a community and that you wish could be different.

Do add more options as you see fit.

For example: 'Financing': A lot of our human resources goes to finding grants

If you were able to manifest three good things that would happen to your community, what would they be?

Technologies

By 'technologies' are meant any digitally related tools, such as webpages, open source libraries, economy software, apps (including communication apps), governance platforms, 3d printers...anything not solely physical. You can add your own additional options below.

How do they currently support your community?

Do you love them, hate them, feel they have potential, wish they could do something else?

Add more as needed.

What functions do you wish a technology could do for your community? If you were to wish for a technology that could magically do something that you currently spend a lot of time and effort on, what would that be?

Dream big.

Anything else you want to add?

Info

Whereabouts are you located - city or countryside?

Any link to where one could find more information about your community. A homepage or similar.
