Thanks for checking out the Covid Locked Us Out project! We are seeking to document how the performing arts industry has shut disabled, chronically ill, immunocompromised, and otherwise COVID-cautious people out due to a lack of COVID precautions. We'd love to hear from you if you:
- at any point (whether regularly or in a one-off incident with an organization) could no longer perform on stage or attend music/dance/acting/other performance classes/rehearsals/workshops/events due to lack of COVID precautions
- became disabled from long COVID and had to stop performing or practicing your art form(s)
- are still performing and practicing but in radically different forms due to lack of COVID precautions in the industry
- want to get started in the performing arts but can’t find a safe place to do so
- got sick or disabled due to lack of COVID precautions in your arts-related jobs
- got rejected from performing opportunities because you still wear masks
Fill out as much or as little of the form as you'd like. The only required field is your email so we can (1) ask you follow-up questions if necessary and (2) send you drafts of what we'll be posting based on your submission before we actually post it. Submissions will be shared in the form of videos posted to YouTube, Instagram Reels, and/or TikTok, depending on what you consent to (more info once we send you a draft of your specific submission), as well as possibly a website/blog linking to the above platforms.
