The Doha Debates Ambassador Program is an expertly mentored virtual convening of young leaders from across the globe who are eager to change how we conduct public discourse, solve problems and build a healthy, equitable future.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The Program is conducted in two parts:
➔ Part One: Community of Practice (January 20 – February 10, 2026)
Successful applicants will be invited to join a community of practice (CoP) to explore Majlis-style debate, communication skills and consensus-building with global peers. At the end of these four weeks, you will be invited to continue on and become a Doha Debates ambassador, provided you have fully participated in the CoP.
Participants will engage with the CoP in three ways:
- Four weekly Zoom meetings: Tuesdays, 7—8:30 p.m. (Doha time/AST)
- Weekly forum discussions on the Participate platform
- Email and WhatsApp messages
Participants should expect to spend a total of 3–4 hours each week engaged in part one of the program. Upon completion of the CoP, participants will earn a Doha Debates Community of Practice credential which can be posted to LinkedIn.
➔ Part Two: Ambassador Program (February 17 – April 7, 2026)
Upon successful completion of the CoP, cohort members will be invited to engage in eight additional weeks of the program, deepening their practice of Majlis-style debate and working in small teams to produce a capstone project.

- Eight weekly Zoom meetings: Tuesdays, 7—8:30 p.m. (Doha time/AST)
