Photography and Filming

We often take photos and/or videos of our young people at the event. If you'd rather us not feature (e.g. a close up shot of them with some friends) your young person in our media, please let us know below.

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that they won't be picked up in any Newday filming (e.g. in the background of an interview, a shot of young people in the big top or people hanging out at a cafe) but we'll ensure all our team are aware that you don't want them to be featured in interviews etc.

If you ask for them not to be featured, could we also ask that you speak with your young person too? It can be tricky as we aren't always with them and the Newday media team are often interviewing young people.

Behaviour Agreement

We want to ensure that Newday is a safe place for everyone, as well as fun. So we have certain behaviour expectations of your young person whilst in our care at Newday and we are confident you will appreciate these are for their protection as well as ours.

Therefore, all young persons, parents and carers must read, sign and return this form to us, confirming you understand and will adhere to these expectations whilst at Newday.

Newday Expectations:

I will treat everyone and all property with respect.
I wil follow the instructions that Leaders give me. As it is their responsibility to look after my wellbeing, I will co-operate wholeheartedly with the Leaders to make their responsibility for me a pleasure!
I will talk to my allocated Leader as soon as I have any problems, medical issues or relationship difficulties.
I will attend every morning and evening meeting unless prearranged with a Leader.
I understand that no one of the opposite sex is allowed in my tent.
I will comply with the Newday site rules, including the curfews, staying on site unless accompanied by a Leader
I will not bring drugs, alcohol or cigarettes onto the site nor use them, nor do anything that breaks the law.

PARENTS / CARERS

If your young person is unable to follow these expectations during the week, you will be responsible for arranging for them to be collected from the site in Norwich.
