Responsibilities

Develop an outreach strategy regarding conferences and media presence.
Hone OSW’s message and organizational storytelling to suit various audiences
Work alongside the leadership team and communications/design consultant to develop our Annual Reports.
Draft and edit press releases, articles, and other publications regarding OSW’s work.
Reach out and maintain relationships with media professionals and organizations.
Create trainings and manuals to prepare OSW staff for conferences and other in-person outreach activities.
Lead the creation of conference proposals and presentations.
Maintain awareness of the current food justice and food sovereignty funding and media landscape to evaluate performance and adapt strategies.
Support the Development Team with cultivating and maintaining relationships with potential donors, foundations, and other funding entities
Occasionally support and edit our newsletters and websites.
Facilitate weekly meetings with our emerging communications and outreach team.
Supervise and train entry-level staff
